Golf Shop Assistants offer\nfriendly and prompt service to the property's guests and assist the golf\nprofessional staff in golf shop operations, merchandise sales and other\ngolf‐related activities. Beginners are welcome – while knowledge of golf is\npreferred, previous Golf Shop Assistant experience is not required for the\nposition. Responsibilities Maintain professional appearanceProcess customer reservations for guests of the golf courseProvide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check‐in processArrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directedCollect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and process in\n the point-of-sale (POS) system as trainedIssue receipts for guest purchasesTake messages for staff or guestsAssist in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations suppliesAssist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges at the daily\n register at the closing of the dayPerform clean‐up and closing proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or managerRequirements Must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self‐starterMust have basic computer knowledgeMust have strong customer/guest orientationMust have strong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be dependableNice-to-haves Knowledge of the game of golf preferred
