The Position:
The Golf Course Assistant Superintendent reports to the Superintendent of Golf Operations. Responsibilities include, but not including, maintenance and operations of golf course and its equipment. Ensuring quality of golf course environment. Possess an ability to solve conflict, good verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities:
Help plan and supervise maintenance and upkeep of golf facility. Direct/supervise seasonal employees. Monitor water usage.
General Responsibilities:
Help create and follow budget. Mitigate and report employee disputes. Help train and schedule staff as required. Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Help maintain golf course equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Ensure duties and responsibilities are performed in a safe manner.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/equivalent education WITH
1-3 years related experience OR
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and TORO Sitepro (or comparable program). Valid Colorado Driver’s License. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to golf course personnel.
Performance evaluations for employees.
HIRING RANGE:
$46,000 - $52,000 annually DOQ
Working Environment/Physical Demands:
Work is performed both indoors and outside. Frequent interruptions, by both customers and other employees are a part of daily duties. Work can require frequent standing and/or walking, lifting, pulling, or pushing of items (seldom more than 50 pounds). Employee must maintain ability to pass employment drug screen.
