RGA, a Mc. Connell Golf property, is looking for Servers and Beverage Cart staff to join our food and beverage team in Raleigh, North Carolina. We provide attentive service to club members and guests, both in the dining room and out on the golf course. RGA is leased by Mc. This is a regular part-time position. You will be the face of the club, greeting members and guests and making sure every visit feels welcoming.
## What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include setting up your side station and completing assigned prep work, serving food and drinks efficiently and courteously, and offering suggestions about daily specials. You'll place orders with the kitchen and communicate any special cooking instructions. On the course, you'll use a beverage cart to serve members and guests. At the table, you'll serve meals course by course, check back to make sure everyone is satisfied, remove soiled dishes, and clear and reset tables after guests leave.
You'll also:
- Prepare food and drinks for customers
- Verify the accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips, and other charges
- Present bills and handle member charges and credit card transactions according to club policy
- Keep the dining room and bus station areas clean
- Advise a supervisor of any complaints as soon as they come up
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the manager
- Thank members and guests and invite them to return
In addition, you'll consistently follow local and state laws as well as the club's policies when serving alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
## What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 education and the ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Two years of comparable wait service experience is preferred. You should be someone who naturally greets and acknowledges members, learns their names and special preferences, knows the menu, and can time the service of each course. You'll also need to know how to perform your role in emergency situations and be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
## Physical Demands
This job is active. You'll stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach. The role involves pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50 pounds, continuous repetitive motions, and working in a hot, humid, and sometimes noisy environment.
## Pay
The salary range for this position is USD $15.00
- USD $20.00 per hour.
