About the position
BallenIsles Country Club seeks a Golf Course Assistant Superintendent for a\nfull-time salaried career opportunity! Qualified candidates will have experience\nin a similar golf course supervisory position and private country club\nenvironment. Demonstrated success with supervising golf course maintenance\npractices and leading employees is required.\n\nThis is a new position to assist with the grow-in and opening of our new Par 3\ngolf course starting construction in early summer 2026. Responsibilities
Work with the Superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course\n maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followedSupervise and assist maintenance staff in daily dutiesAssist in the planning, organizing and direction of the maintenance and\n construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkersSupervise the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various\n turf grasses, trees and ornamental plantsEnsure that maintenance equipment is properly operating and report issues\n appropriately to Equipment ManagersAssist in the procurement of supplies and materials and ensure costs remain\n within budgetary limitationsMaintain records of annual maintenance activities and costs and assist with\n the preparation of required reportsFollow sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possibleReconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll and other\n required documentsEnsure all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance\n with government regulationsEnsure associates obtain proper licenses needed to perform job tasks safely\n and within city, state, and federal regulations; address all real or\n perceived environmental concerns directlyManage department members that may include, but are not limited to: Mechanic,\n Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and\n Irrigation TechnicianAssure that effective orientation and training are given to each new\n associate; develop ongoing training programsMonitor business volume forecast and plan accordingly in areas of manpower,\n productivity, costs and other expensesRegular and reliable attendanceIncorporate safe work practices in job performanceRequirements
A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil\nscience with two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of\neducation and experience is required.A valid FL driver's license and\nsatisfactory driving record to meet standards of insurability are required.A Florida pesticide applicator's license, ability to work outdoors in various\nclimates, and ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds is necessary.Benefits
