Role Overview We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team.

In this pivotal role, you will support the Golf Course Superintendent in maintaining the highest standards of course conditions while implementing agronomic practices that enhance playability and aesthetics.

Your expertise will contribute to a first-rate golfing experience for our members and guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and execution of daily maintenance operations, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control. Monitor turf health and environmental conditions, providing recommendations for improvements and adjustments Supervise maintenance crew, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient work practices Assist in the development and implementation of agronomic plans to enhance the course quality Participate in the training and development of staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment

Required and Preferred Qualifications Required:

Current PA Driver’s License 2+ years of experience in golf course maintenance Strong understanding of turfgrass species, agronomy, and pest management Ability to operate and maintain golf course equipment safely and effectively Either currently in possession of or ability to obtain PA Pesticide Certification within 90 days

Preferred:

2 or 4 year degree in Turf Management Experience with irrigation systems and water management practices Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) strategies Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices in golf course management
