## Head Landscape Mechanic — Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club

Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Head Landscape Mechanic to join the Landscape Department. The Head Landscape Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all the landscaping equipment and machinery. This role ensures that all tools and machines operate efficiently and safely to support the landscaping team in delivering high-quality groundskeeping and landscape management services. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
You will routinely inspect, maintain, and repair landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other power tools. Expect to diagnose mechanical issues and perform the necessary repairs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Routine preventative maintenance is a regular part of the job so equipment lifespan is maximized and unexpected breakdowns are avoided. Inventory management is included: monitor and manage parts inventory, order replacement parts as necessary, and keep tools and machinery properly stocked and ready for use. Accurate record keeping is important; maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including dates, parts used, and other relevant information. You will also ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety standards and regulations, and provide technical support and training to landscaping team members on the proper use and care of equipment.
Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a landscaping or similar industry. This includes Diesel Engine experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of small engines and landscaping equipment. Excellent sense for organization.
- Certification in small engine repair or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with the tools and equipment used in landscaping and groundskeeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Spanish speaking is a plus.

You must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. The ability to work in a team environment and to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times is important. You must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. You must also have the ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
