Golf Course Mechanic

Golf Course Mechanic Odyssey Golf Foundation 19110 S. Ridgeland Avenue Tinley Park, Illinois Position Purpose: To assist and/or work independently of the Head Equipment Manager (HEM) in the repairing and maintenance of various 2-cycle, gasoline, and diesel-powered golf course mechanical equipment. Responsibilities Overview: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Diagnose and preform repairs to all golf course equipment as needed in a timely manner as directed by the HEM and or the GCS.Perform routine scheduled maintenance as directed.Ability to set up and maintain cutting units.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical related issues quickly & effectively.Maintain detailed service records to include all repairs, service, time, and associated parts for all golf course equipment.Performs general labor and cleaning related to golf course equipment.Dispose of oils and other fluids per operating standards.Ability to multitask is a must.Ability & Willingness to perform other tasks directed.Educational Requirements: High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma.Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel and electric powered equipment and the proper methods of servicing golf course equipment.Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.Experience Requirements: 1-3 Years (Prior Golf Course mechanical experience preferred) Successful candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Must be available to work weekends and holidays as necessary.Candidate must possess his/her own tools.Must possess a valid Drivers LicenseJob Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insuranceOn-the-job trainingPaid time offVision insuranceExperience: Golf Course Mechanical: 1 year (Required)License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)Work Location: In person
