Equipment Technician / Manager

The Equipment Manager, reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, oversees the club’s comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all equipment. This includes diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, maintaining detailed records of parts and labor for each piece of equipment, and managing the procurement of necessary parts and supplies. The Equipment Manager ensures all equipment is serviced promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.

Clear, timely communication with the Golf Course Superintendent about equipment needs, maintenance schedules, and repair updates is essential. The Equipment Manager is committed to upholding the highest safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized service area, and ensuring the maintenance facility operates smoothly and safely at all times.

Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment.

Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools and the making of various types of mechanical repair.

Working Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.

Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the mechanical profession.

Ability to move heavy equipment.

Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.

Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.

Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and keep business records.

Regular exposure to lifting 25 pounds or more and exposure to extreme temperature.

Possession of a valid drivers license.
