The Golf Course Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, playability, and condition of the golf course. This position assists with mowing, bunker maintenance, landscaping, irrigation support, daily course setup, and general grounds upkeep. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Job Requirements:
Maintain turf, sand traps, and course grounds at a high level of quality.Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs according to course standards.Rake and maintain bunkers, including repair and upkeep of sand trap areas.Perform daily course setup, including changing hole locations, moving tee markers, and setting out signage as needed.Operate mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, sprayers, sand trap rakers, sprinklers, and utility vehicles safely and efficiently.Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed.Maintain trees, flowers, pathways, clubhouse surroundings, and common areas by planting, weeding, pruning, trimming, and general landscape upkeep.Remove debris, leaves, fallen branches, and trash to help maintain safe playing conditions.Assist with tournament preparation and special projects to keep the course event-ready throughout the season.Monitor course conditions and report turf issues, hazards, irrigation concerns, or equipment issues to supervisors.Complete all assigned tasks while demonstrating safe and productive work habits and perform other duties as assigned.
Special Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Must possess a valid PA driver's license.Previous golf course maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, or general labor experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.Knowledge of golf course maintenance equipment and the safe use of hand and power tools is helpful, but not required.Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail.Must be punctual, reliable, and have a strong work ethic.Must be able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.Must have reliable transportation and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Dress Code:
Groundskeepers are expected to report to work in appropriate work attire that is clean, neat, and suitable for outdoor labor. Employees must follow all safety guidelines related to footwear, protective gear, and equipment use. Good personal hygiene must be maintained at all times.It is imperative to comply with the dress code designated for this position, not only because you are a representative of this company, but because it is a necessity to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
