Job Summary: The Banquet Manager is responsible for ensuring an exceptional member and guest experience in the club for all events. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that involves being the key liaison to the event planner/host throughout the event.
A Banquet Manager oversees the setup, service, and breakdown, and billing of catered events, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction. They are responsible for managing the banquet team/bartenders, which includes assisting in hiring and training new team members, scheduling and approving payroll, as well as continuous coaching and training throughout events. This person also is responsible for coordinating with the kitchen and other departments and maintaining communication with the event host throughout the event.
RESPONSIBILITIES
EVENT SET UP:
Ensuring the event space is properly arranged, set up and stocked, including but not limited to tables, chairs, decorations, buffet cards, signs and all banquet equipment.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
Supervising banquet staff, holding a pre-shift, delegating tasks, and ensuring proper service standards are maintained and following up with documentation if needed.
FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE:
Overseeing the service of food and drinks, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to guests.
GUEST INTERACTION:
Interacting with guests, addressing their needs and concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
PROBLEM SOLVING:
Handling any issues that arise during the event, such as guest complaints or service delays, and finding solutions.
COMMUNICATION:
Maintaining clear communication with the event host, kitchen staff, and other relevant parties. Writing an event recap to manager and include additional parties as needed.
EVENT BREAKDOWN:
Overseeing the cleanup and breakdown of the event space, ensuring everything is returned to its proper place, and billed accurately.
Requirements
Expected Hours of Work: Fulltime withFlexible scheduling - Daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
Required Education and Experience
Experience in the Food & Beverage and/or Hospitality Industries.Experience in supervising banquet functions.Must have an exceptional eye for detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct a team of staff in a pro-active and positive manner.

Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL:
Ability to ensure that all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and inventory management software and any other platforms related to the operation as well as scheduling of staff.
Compensation & Benefits
