Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCOOK JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Cook Reports To: General Manager Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Location: 1611 Golf Club, Burleson, TX, Fort Worth, TX or North Richland Hills, TX Position Summary: The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items in accordance with 1611 Golf Club’s recipes and presentation standards. This role involves executing consistent meals, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting overall kitchen efficiency during daily operations, peak hours, and special events. Key Responsibilities: 1. Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items according to club recipes and quality standards.Ensure consistent taste, portioning, and plate presentation.Follow prep sheets and kitchen systems for daily and weekly prep.2. Kitchen Cleanliness & Organization Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times.Follow proper cleaning and storage procedures for equipment, utensils, and food products.Assist with daily kitchen cleaning tasks, including dishwashing if needed.3. Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to all health department regulations and food safety standards.Practice proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO).Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the Kitchen Manager immediately.4. Team Collaboration Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.Support the Kitchen Manager in executing daily kitchen operations.Be flexible and assist with other duties as assigned during peak service times. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.1+ year of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a commercial kitchen (preferred but not required).Basic understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and food sanitation.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Able to lift up to 40 lbs.Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience.Opportunities for growth and advancement within the club.Employee meal discounts and club benefits.Join the Team: At 1611 Golf Club, we pride ourselves on delivering great food and exceptional service.
