Tennis Department Maintenance Associate – Golf Club
Position Summary
The Tennis Department Maintenance Associate plays a key role in delivering a positive member experience by ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the tennis facilities. This position supports both indoor and outdoor operations and works closely with the Tennis Director and tennis professionals to maintain high standards throughout the year.
Primary Responsibilities
Fall / Winter (Indoor Facility Focus):
• Maintain cleanliness of the indoor tennis facility, including courts, walkways, seating areas, restrooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning and daily upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Complete light maintenance tasks such as paint touch-ups, changing light fixtures, and basic facility repairs.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs to the Tennis Director or Facilities Manager.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for tennis events, clinics, and leagues as needed.
Spring / Summer (Outdoor Clay Court Focus):
• Maintain six outdoor clay tennis courts under the supervision of the Tennis Director.
• Assist with daily court preparation and seasonal maintenance, including rolling, brushing, lining, and watering.
• Ensure courts are properly watered using general plumbing knowledge to support irrigation systems and hoses.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor courts and surrounding areas, including trash removal and weeding.
• Ensure windscreens are properly hung, secured, and maintained.
• Keep all water and towel stations fully stocked and organized to support tennis professionals and enhance member satisfaction.
Physical & Licensing Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during the spring and summer months.
• Must possess a valid and active driver’s license.
Qualifications
• General maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, lighting, and facility upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and understanding of the importance of member service in a country club environment.
Schedule
• Seasonal focus shifts between indoor and outdoor operations.
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings as required by the tennis schedule.
This position is essential to maintaining the quality, safety, and overall experience of the club’s tennis facilities and members.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
