About the Role
Equipment Manager
The Equipment Manager is responsible for ensuring golf course equipment is maintained, repaired, and kept in optimal working conditions to support daily operations and high-quality course standards. This role involves overseeing the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and specialized turf care machinery. The Equipment Manager will also supervise and train mechanical staff, manage inventory, and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for golf course maintenance equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance on all equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and other specialized turf care machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area for equipment repairs and ensure tools are securely stored.
• Document all equipment repairs and the purchase of replacement parts accurately and
comprehensively.
• Develop and manage a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive
maintenance, ongoing improvements, and compliance with established schedules and
deadlines.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of petroleum products, replacement parts, and shop supplies as established by the Superintendent.
• Inform the Superintendent of the need for capital equipment purchases, additions, or
replacement needs.
• Supervise, train, and schedule tasks for mechanical staff involved in the golf course
maintenance operations.
• Assist in hiring, training, and performance management of mechanical staff.
• Assist in training grounds staff on the safe and proper operation of maintenance equipment.
• Ensure daily assignments are completed to club standards, including keeping the course free of trash and debris.
Additional Duties
• Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.

• Support the overall efficiency of the team by collaborating and contributing to the club’s
goals.
Qualifications
Required
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance, mechanics, or small engine repair.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with golf course maintenance equipment,
including the identification and use of replacement parts, supplies, and other resources
needed in the repair and upkeep of the equipment.
Preferred
• College degree in a related field.
Physical Requirements
• Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and
humidity.
• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping,
pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing.

• Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or
