Food & Beverage Manager

Champions Retreat is seeking a motivated, hands-on, and hospitality-driven Food & Beverage Manager
to support the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, private events, cottage guest experiences, and member dining. This role is ideal for a dependable leader who enjoys being present on the floor, coaching team members, supporting service standards, and helping create memorable experiences for members and guests.
The Food & Beverage Manager will work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, culinary team, service staff, and event team to ensure consistent execution, polished service, and a high level of organization across all areas of the operation.
Responsibilities
Lead daily food and beverage operations across assigned outlets and event spaces.
Support a warm, professional, and polished member and guest experience.
Interact regularly with members and guests, promoting food and beverage offerings, events, and club amenities.
Maintain strong floor presence during service, ensuring standards are followed and guest needs are anticipated.
Recognize and resolve member and guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Partner with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless food quality, timing, presentation, and communication.
Maintain service standards for dining outlets, banquets, private events, cottage service, and special club functions.
Supervise, train, coach, and support front-of-house team members.
Assist with pre-shift meetings, daily service notes, floor plans, side work, and team communication.
Provide direct service support as needed, including greeting guests, seating, serving, bussing, running food, assisting at the bar, and supporting event execution.
Oversee banquet and event setup, service, breakdown, and overall cleanliness.
Maintain complete knowledge of event details, BEOs, menus, service expectations, and assigned team responsibilities.
Ensure food and beverage areas remain clean, organized, stocked, and inspection ready.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels for operating supplies, beverages, and service tools.
Support cost controls related to labor, supplies, equipment, food, beverage, and waste.
Assist with ordering, inventory, product receiving, and organization as needed.
Uphold club policies, service standards, safety procedures, and sanitation expectations.
Support all club activities and special events to help deliver a consistent and elevated Champions Retreat experience.
Qualifications
1 to 2 years of food and beverage supervisory experience preferred.
Private club, resort, golf club, restaurant, hotel, or banquet experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to supervise and motivate service staff.
High attention to detail and commitment to hospitality standards.
Comfortable working in a hands-on leadership role.
Ability to handle member and guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Willingness to learn and support restaurant, bar, banquet, and event operations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special event schedules as business levels require.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to grow within the food and beverage operation.
