## About Invited and the Club
Since its inception in 1957, Invited has operated with the central purpose of building relationships and enriching the lives of our members, guests, and more than 17,000 employees. We are the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, with 130+ country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs. April Sound Country Club in Montgomery, TX, offers first-class amenities and an active membership, and we are looking for a Director of Golf to join our team.
### What this role does day-to-day
The Director of Golf is responsible for overseeing all aspects of golf operations at the club, ensuring an exceptional member experience and promoting the game. You will manage the golf department's budget and sales plan while achieving key objectives. The role provides strategic direction and supervision to the golf operations team, including the golf shop and outside services, while maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing all aspects of the golf shop, outside services, and overall golf operations to ensure seamless, efficient, and professional service across the club. You will lead, train, and motivate the golf operations team, conducting regular staff meetings to foster communication, alignment, and operational excellence. Ensuring that all closing procedures and daily operational tasks are completed in accordance with club standards and best practices is part of your scope.
You will supervise the daily activities of outside golf staff, including Marshalls, Starters, and Golf Shop Attendants, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to staging area, range, and golf cart storage. Providing professional golf instruction to members and guests in alignment with Invited and PGA/LPGA standards is expected; you will develop engaging golf clinics, private lessons, and programs tailored for adults, juniors, and seniors.
In addition, you will lead the planning, scheduling, execution, and follow-up of all club tournaments and special golf events, collaborating with key departments (e.g., Food & Beverage) to deliver a seamless member experience. Directing staff in event preparation, execution, and post-event evaluation is required to maximize member satisfaction and operational efficiency.
