About the Role
Position Summary
The Golf Cart Operations Attendant is responsible for maintaining the golf cart fleet and providing exceptional customer service to golfers and guests. This position ensures carts are clean, fueled or charged, properly staged, and ready for play while supporting the daily operations of the golf course.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, clean, and stage golf carts before each round.
Wash, sanitize, and inspect carts after use.
Charge electric carts or refuel gas-powered carts as needed.
Monitor the condition of the golf cart fleet and report maintenance or safety issues.
Organize carts to ensure efficient daily operations.
Assist golfers with loading and unloading clubs.
Provide friendly, professional customer service to members and guests.
Maintain the cart barn, bag drop, and surrounding work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Collect range baskets, practice balls, and assist with practice facility maintenance as needed.
Empty trash receptacles and help keep the clubhouse entrance and outside areas clean.
Assist with tournament and special event setup, including staging carts and placing signage.
Follow all golf course safety procedures and operating policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent, Golf Professional, or Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Weekend, holiday, and early morning availability is required.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and pushing.
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in heat, cold, rain, or other weather conditions.
Preferred Skills
Previous golf course, hospitality, landscaping, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful but not required.
Work Environment
This position primarily works outdoors and plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for every golfer. Employees should maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate excellent customer service, and contribute to the overall presentation of Scothurst Golf Course.
Pay: $10.00 per hour
