Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision directs, provides leadership, manages and oversee all coaching and strategic aspects of the University’s NCAA Division 1 sports program in such a manner as to build and maintain a competitive, quality program that reflects positively on the image and reputation of the University at all times.
Directs and coordinates all aspects of the recruitment process in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations.Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training and competition.Responsible for the hiring and direct supervision of the coach staff.Oversees all operational aspects of the specific sports program. Including travel, meals, athletic gear, etc.Oversees all aspects of the financial operation of the specific sports programRepresents sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.Complies with all NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Athletics policies.The above statements describe the job's essential responsibilities and requirements. Required Education Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Required Experience Three to five years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching highly competitive golf, preferably at the NCAA Division 1 level.
The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
