### About Army Navy Country Club
Army Navy Country Club is a prestigious private, member-owned institution with a rich history dating back to 1924. Spanning 488 acres across two campuses located in Arlington and Fairfax, Virginia, the club is committed to delivering exceptional service to its membership. As an Outside Service Associate, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail that define this distinguished institution.
### The Role
The outside services team manages all outdoor golf operations, ensuring that our standards in service, facility, and efficiency are consistently met or exceeded. Your position is key in delivering platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members and their guests. From the moment members and guests arrive at the bag-drop or staging area, you'll be there to greet them and set the tone for their visit.
You'll embrace our mission statement and 5 Star Service philosophy in everything you do. This means engaging with our membership to create a friendly and welcoming environment while conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times.
### What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include greeting members and guests promptly upon arrival and ensuring the proper setup of the bag drop, staging areas, and practice facilities according to established guidelines. You'll maintain ANCC Golf facilities in perfect order throughout each day's activities, keeping all areas neat, tidy, and well-stocked.
A critical part of your role is ensuring that no member golfer is required to handle their clubs or equipment due to lack of staff attention or availability. You'll coordinate all work activities through the Starter to ensure proper staff allocation meets member service requirements and task completion. Maintaining radio contact with the Golf Shop, Starter, and other outside service staff is essential for smooth operations.
You'll also observe proper procedures and take precautions to promote safety first, ensuring no injury occurs to staff, members, equipment, or property. Beyond the golf course, you must have flexibility to work in the golf shop as needed and stay informed on all club activities and services that you can promote to members.
### What We're Looking For
We need a motivated, dependable, and friendly individual who is fluent in English and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. A High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred, and a valid Driver's License is required.
You'll maintain a professional image at all times, including wearing proper uniform attire and name badge while on duty. The ability to work collaboratively with the outside service team is essential.
### Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, you'll frequently be required to sit and/or stand for lengthy periods and walk throughout the facility. You'll regularly need to lift and move up to 50 lbs unassisted. The position requires you to stand and reach with hands and arms, regularly using hands and fingers to perform your duties.
### Benefits
Army Navy Country Club places a strong emphasis on the well-being of its staff, offering comprehensive benefits designed to support a balanced and fulfilling career. As a part-time employee, you'll enjoy complimentary meals, club-sponsored staff events, and participation in our Five Star Employee Recognition Program.
This is a civilian position and does not require military service. Army Navy Country Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
