Position Overview
Westhaven Golf Club is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. This role emphasizes exceptional member service and touchpoints, player development programs, junior golf leadership, a top-tier tournament operation, and Golf Shop retail management.
Interested individuals should have a desire for excellence, a high standard for member experience, and high achievement aspirations. The successful candidate will be challenged and supported each day to find success while pursuing their career as a golf professional.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver outstanding daily golf operations and member engagement
• Assist with and lead player development and junior golf programs
• Provide individual instruction and promote lesson programming
• Coordinate and execute club tournaments and major events
• Support Golf Shop merchandising, inventory control, and retail sales
• Play with members and participate in Chapter and Section competitions
Qualifications
• PGA Member or enrolled as an Associate in the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program (required)
• Experience teaching and coaching junior golfers preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Passion for playing, competing, and teaching the game
Compensation & Benefits
• Full-time, salaried position
• Total compensation potential: $55,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience
• Performance-based bonus structure
• Tournament and outing commissions
• 90% of clinic, camp, and lesson revenue retained
• Annual PGA dues paid by Westhaven Golf Club
• PGA Education allowance and level reimbursement
• Uniform allowance and meals provided while on duty
Work Schedule
• Average work week: 40–50 hours (extended hours during major event weeks)
