Pilates Instructor - YMCA at Black Creek Golf Country Club - Thursdays, 5:30pm

JOB DETAILS: The Pilates Instructor must be an exceptional motivator as well as great at relationship building in our member-centered environment. Instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. The group exercise instructor will deliver a great experience during each class. We are in need of a Pilates Instructor who can teach classes every Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Black Creek Golf Country Club.  Compensation is $37.50 per class. RESPONSIBLITIES: • Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. • Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. • Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members. • Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA. • Keeps accurate class attendance records. • Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations. • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • Pilates Certification (Pilates Method/Ramona’s Pilates or comparable) and have experience on Pilates apparatus, completing a minimum of 300 hours • At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred • Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED required within 30 days of hire • National certification (e.g. ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction • New Employee Orientation required within first week of hire PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to conduct classes and activities. • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
