Job Description: Manages and maintains all aspects of agronomy for the golf course, property, and club house grounds. Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths Supervise and control all maintenance expenses associated with Golf Course operations Design, oversee and implement fertilization, pest and weed management programs Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, OSHA rules and regulations regarding shop safety and pesticide usage Monitor the course daily to determine proper playing conditions Provide technical, operational and safety training for employees to ensure that staff is working within OSHA, club safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation, pumping and water reservoir systems Communicate with golfers and club management about course conditions and playability Hire, supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Foreman, Greenskeepers, and other staff Order parts, supplies and equipment as needed Bachelors degree (BS),Associates degree (AA) or equivalent form a four or two year college or technical school; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
