Under general supervision, the Player Ambassador/Starter interacts with all guests in a professional and courteous manner while starting and monitoring course play. This position has frequent guest contact and provides services that ensure each guest receives an exceptional experience. The Player Ambassador/Starter is also responsible for observing activity on the golf course, maintaining awareness of guest safety and course conditions. This includes politely requesting that non-golfers or trespassers leave the course when necessary, escalating concerns to management as appropriate, and remaining alert to animals or other creatures on the course to help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
Some responsibilities are seasonal in nature.

Guest Experience & Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting guests on the first tee and offering items such as scorecards and pencils.
Course Monitoring & Play Management
Assist bottleneck groups to improve pace by helping, as necessary, with repairing divots, raking bunkers, or other quick course-care actions.
May serve as a spotter and assist golfers on difficult or "blind" holes.
Maintain a radio on hand at all times to communicate with Golf Shop staff regarding tee time modifications, no-shows, and member names, ensuring timely updates and seamless operations.
Assist with large and small group golf events by labeling bags, loading/unloading golf bags, and shuttling golfers to the range.
Empty garbage cans around the course or halfway houses as needed.
Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
High school / GED. Minimum one (1) year of participation in the game of golf on a recreational basis. Previous experience in a customer-service-related position.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs.
Computer Skills
Ability to use employee self-service on company's human resources/payroll database.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate. Must seek approval from supervisor before incurring overtime, Schedule flexibility which may include weekends and holidays.
Part-Time Positions:
Busy Season: You are expected to be available to work the hours required for the shift/position. Generally speaking, we require a minimum of 3 shifts per week, including weekends and 4 shifts in the weeks following overseeding.
A minimum of 1 shift per pay period is required.
You are expected to work the schedule assigned, which may include weekends and holidays, in alignment with business needs.
Full-Time Positions:
Busy Season: You are expected to be available to work up to or near 40 hours per week, including covering shifts and working overtime as needed.
