Newport National Golf Club deemed the “Number One Public Access Course in New England” by New England Golf Monthly. Legendary golf architect, Arthur Hills, designed the challenging 7,244-yard Orchard Course. The 18-hole links-style course sports sloping fairways, marshes, and strategically placed bunkers. The dramatic setting boasts views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sakonnet Passage while challenging golfers with steady winds coming off Narragansett Bay. Golfweek Magazine placed the course in the “Top Twenty New Courses in America”. Our newly constructed 20,000 square foot Club House, and additional 9-hole golf course, and practice facility is now open! MERCHANDISER We are currently seeking a Merchandiser for our brand new Club House/Pro Shop. The individual in this newly created position will be responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience for members and guests by procuring and displaying golf-related apparel and accessories in the Pro Shop. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with buyers and vendors to curate a selection of merchandise that aligns with member preferences and trends. Creating attractive and engaging displays to strategically showcase products to enhance sales and drive growth. Analyzing sales trends and member purchasing behavior to optimize product selection and pricing. Golf shop experience and a passion for golf a plus! In addition to having the ability to create appealing displays; candidates must have experience as a merchandiser/buyer or assistant buyer. Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, inventory systems) and availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts required.
