Varsity Girls Golf Assisant Coach

Summary Lakewood High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic department as an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Girls Golf team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of golf fundamentals and a passion for mentoring young athletes. This role involves supporting the head coach in developing the skills of student-athletes, fostering a positive team environment, and promoting sportsmanship and personal growth. Responsibilities - Assist the head coach in organizing and conducting practices, ensuring that all athletes receive proper instruction and support. - Provide individual coaching and feedback to athletes to improve their technique and overall game strategy. - Support the planning and execution of team preparation, logistics, and on-site coaching. - Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. - Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations. - Perform any additional duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director. Requirements - Previous coaching experience in golf or a strong background in playing the sport. - Knowledge of golf rules, strategies, and training techniques. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. - Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, athletes, and parents. - Availability to attend practices, competitions, and team meetings, including evenings and weekends as needed. - Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
