About the position Performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and\nconstruction. Responsible for operating small equipment and performing all\ngeneral hands-on grooming of the golf course and grounds. Performs semi-skilled\ngrounds construction and maintenance work and related tasks as required. Responsibilities Performs general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment.Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material. Involved with tasks\nrelated to course detail (weed and debris clean up).Assists with golf course set-up procedures.Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective\nwork areas.Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.Keeps all equipment in good, clean working condition.Maintains a clean golf course and maintenance complex.Reports all problems regarding equipment to the Mechanic and or Assistant\nSuperintendent.Completes duties as directed by supervisor in a timely manner.Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and Guests at all times.Performs other duties as requested.Obeys all safety proceduresRegular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as required.Requirements Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or\ntraining; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid Driver’s LicenseAbility to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties\nof the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English\nspeaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates\nmay use are in English).
