Position Summary
Detroit Country Club is seeking a motivated, personable, and service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to support the club’s golf operations and provide an outstanding experience for members, guests, tournament participants, and junior golfers.
Working under the General Manager/Head PGA Professional, the Assistant Golf Professional will be involved in all aspects of the golf operation, including daily golf shop operations, tournament administration, merchandising, player development, junior golf, member and guest services, and outside operations.
This position is designed for an individual who wants to develop as a golf professional, take on meaningful responsibility within the operation, and contribute to the continued growth and success of Detroit Country Club.
Detroit Country Club is a 36-hole golf facility that features the par 71 Pine to Palm course and the par 64 Lakeview Golf Course. The courses are located five miles south of Detroit Lakes on Highway 59 in the beautiful north central lake region of Minnesota. The two courses are bordered by Lake Sallie to the north and Lake Melissa to the South. It is also home to the histortic Pine to Palm Golf tournament. With two clubhouses, full practice facilities and Brassie's Bar and Restaurant, Detroit Country Club is a very active facility. The oldest public course in the state of Minnesota, Detroit Country Club is also home to over 800 season pass holders.
