Medicine Hole Golf Course Superintendent

The Medicine Hole Golf Course in Killdeer, North Dakota is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Golf Course Superintendent. As a senior management position, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and agronomic management of the golf facility's grounds, turf, and equipment. Managing day-to-day operations, the Superintendent will lead a team of grounds staff, ensuring the course meets the highest standards of quality and playability. Working closely with the board of directors, the Superintendent will develop and manage budgets, implement maintenance programs, and coordinate course improvements. This role requires a hands-on approach to grounds management, with a focus on turf care, irrigation systems, pest and weed control, equipment maintenance, and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of turfgrass management practices, strong leadership skills, and a passion for golf course maintenance and improvement. - Experience in golf course maintenance or turf management - Knowledge of turfgrass agronomy, irrigation systems, and pest/weed control methods - Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage grounds staff - Ability to create and manage budgets, work with board of directors, and implement maintenance programs - Degree in turf management, horticulture, agronomy, or related field preferred - Must maintain commercial applicator licenses - does not need to have upon hiring.
