Lakewood Country Club is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Captain to oversee operations within the Men's 19th Hole, one of the Club's most active and Member-focused gathering spaces.
As Lakewood Country Club prepares for the highly anticipated reopening of its newly renovated Andrew Green golf course, this position presents a unique opportunity to become a key part of the Member experience at one of Dallas' premier private clubs.

Lakewood Country Club is a private, Member-owned club serving approximately 1,100 Members and their families. Known for its strong golf culture, exceptional hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere, the Club provides members with an elevated experience both on and off the golf course.
Position Summary The Men's 19th Hole Captain serves as the primary floor leader within a popular golf-focused member venue that accommodates approximately 80 guests and serves as a gathering place for golfers before and following rounds.
This role requires a hospitality professional who can build meaningful relationships with Members, anticipate Member preferences, and coordinate seamless service while leading a team of servers and bartenders. The Captain will work closely with the Director of Golf, Locker Room Manager, and Food & Beverage Management team to create a first-class member experience.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, understands golf culture, and enjoys creating memorable experiences for Members and their guests.
Essential Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Men's 19th Hole
Supervise servers, bartenders, and support staffBuild strong relationships with Members and learn individual preferencesEnsure all opening, side work, and closing responsibilities are completedMonitor service standards and member satisfaction throughout serviceCoordinate service flow during tournaments, golf events, and peak periodsAssist with beverage inventory processes as neededSupport implementation of staff training programsCommunicate effectively with Golf Operations, Locker Room Staff, and Food & Beverage ManagementAssist staff during high-volume periods to ensure exceptional service executionMaintain an engaging, welcoming, and professional atmosphereQualifications
Minimum 4 years of hospitality experience required
Private Club experience preferredPrevious leadership experience preferredStrong wine, spirits, and beverage knowledge preferredKnowledge of golf etiquette, terminology, and culture strongly preferredExceptional member-relations skillsStrong organizational and communication abilitiesTABC Certification requiredFood Handler Certification requiredPhysical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to work both indoors and outdoors as business demands requireCompensation & Benefits
$24-$28 per hour DOE
