About The Back Nine Golf

The Back Nine Golf Centerville is a premium indoor golf facility dedicated to making the game of golf more accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for golfers of all skill levels. With state-of-the-art Full Swing golf simulators, we provide an environment where golfers can practice, improve, receive professional instruction, and enjoy the game year-round.

We are looking for a motivated, personable, and knowledgeable golf instructor to join our facility as an independent contractor and help grow our instruction offerings and golf community.

Position Overview

This is an opportunity for a golf instructor to build and manage their own instruction business within The Back Nine Golf Centerville. The instructor will have the flexibility to establish their own hours, set their availability, and schedule clients as they see fit, while leveraging our facility and simulator technology to deliver a high-quality instructional experience.

We welcome instructors who enjoy working with everyone from beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced golfers looking to refine their skills and lower their scores.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual golf instruction to golfers of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.Build and manage your own client base, including scheduling lessons and establishing your own availability.Offer group lessons and clinics designed to engage golfers, develop skills, and introduce new players to the game.Help develop and lead golf camps, including opportunities for junior golfers and other groups.Support membership growth by introducing students and prospective golfers to The Back Nine's membership options and facility benefits.Participate in the growth of our golf community through events, programs, and other instructional opportunities.Leverage our Full Swing simulators and indoor environment to provide effective, year-round instruction.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, swing mechanics, and instructional techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with golfers of varying skill levels and experience.Self-motivated, professional, and interested in growing an independent instruction business.Willingness to explore group instruction, clinics, camps, and other programming opportunities.PGA membership or certification preferred. Relevant teaching experience, playing experience, and a demonstrated ability to instruct golfers are also valued.

Independent Contractor Arrangement

This position is structured as an independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position.

Flexible scheduling: Set your own hours, availability, and lesson schedule.Independent client management: Build and manage your own client relationships and lesson bookings.Compensation by agreement: Revenue-sharing arrangements, lesson revenue, facility fees, and any other compensation terms will be discussed and mutually agreed upon before the instructor begins working with The Back Nine.Growth opportunities: Develop additional revenue opportunities through clinics, camps, group lessons, and other golf programming.Facility partnership: Work within a professional indoor golf environment equipped with Full Swing simulators.All financial arrangements and responsibilities will be outlined in a written independent contractor agreement before services begin.
