DescriptionIdle Hour Club is hiring a Baker. Reporting to the Pastry Chef, the Baker will assist in the preparation of breads/cakes/pastries/etc. in our from-scratch kitchen.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Measure and mix ingredients precisely according to recipesOperate a commercial oven and monitor bake timesPrep and bake items set by daily BEO’s (Banquet Event Order sheets)Maintain cleanliness of work stations and equipmentMonitor inventoryRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:Previous baking experience with up to one-year commercial kitchen experienceBasic bread dough procedural knowledgeKnowledge of basic cakes, pastries, cookies, with experience decorating cakes and cookiesAccuracy is a key to success (baking is chemistry)Must be willing and able to take directionAbility to lift #50 (think sacks of flour/sugar/etc.)
