With more than approximately 25,000 rounds of golf annually, Stanton Ridge offers an active golf environment focused on exceptional member service, engaging programming, and memorable experiences.

Stanton Ridge is seeking a motivated, service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our Golf Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a golf professional with private club experience who is passionate about member service, instruction, tournament operations, merchandising, and growing the game.

The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head Golf Professional to support all aspects of the golf operation while taking an active leadership role in member events, outings, instructional programming, Golf Genius administration, retail operations, and outside services.

Experience Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience at a private club or similar golf facility preferred.Previous experience in golf instruction strongly preferred.Experience planning, setting up, and running tournaments and outings using Golf Genius.Experience with Jonas Point of Sale preferred.Strong knowledge of golf operations, tournament administration, merchandising, and member service.Comfortable working with POS systems and proficient with standard computer applications.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced club environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Professional, polished, and service-oriented approach when interacting with members and guests.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak golf periods as required.PGA membership, Associate status, or progress toward PGA membership is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

Member & Golf Operations Provide exceptional, professional, and personalized service to members and guests.Maintain a visible presence throughout the golf operation and develop strong relationships with the membership.Check in members and guests, reconcile tee sheets, and assist with daily play management.Monitor and maintain established pace-of-play standards.Answer telephone and in-person inquiries professionally and assist with starting times and golf-related information.Assume responsibility for golf operations during designated periods and in the absence of the Head Golf Professional.Assist with the supervision and direction of outside operations staff, starters, and marshals.Ensure the Golf Shop, practice facilities, storage areas, locker areas, and other golf-related spaces are maintained to established service and cleanliness standards. Tournaments, Events & Outings Take an active role in planning, organizing, and executing member tournaments, leagues, outings, and special golf events.Set up and administer events through Golf Genius, including pairings, scoring, scorecards, cart signs, rule sheets, and event communications.Lead and organize member golf events and outside outings from planning through execution.Run and support the Ladies' League programming from April through October.Promote club golf events and programming to increase member participation and engagement.Assist with developing tournament and event communications and promotional materials. Instruction & Player Development Provide private and group golf instruction to members and guests.Support and lead the club's Junior Golf Program from June through August.Conduct and assist with ladies' clinics and other instructional programs.Help develop programming that encourages participation, player development, and long-term engagement in golf. Golf Shop, POS & Merchandising Take a lead role in the administration and day-to-day use of the club's point-of-sale system.Assist the Head Golf Professional with merchandise purchasing and inventory management.Receive, process, merchandise, and price incoming Golf Shop inventory.Maintain attractive, organized, and appropriately stocked merchandise displays.Conduct monthly physical inventories with the Head Golf Professional and assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels.Support inventory turnover, cost-of-sales controls, ordering, receiving, and storage procedures.Perform club repair services and coordinate related member requests. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain and monitor member USGA handicap information.Assist with the administration and assignment of member lockers.Maintain accurate records related to golf operations, tournaments, inventory, and member activity.Assist with staff scheduling and daily coverage based on operational needs.Maintain accountability for departmental equipment and supplies.Ensure staff uniforms and name tags meet club standards.Support the Head Golf Professional with additional operational and administrative responsibilities as needed.
