About the Role
SUMMARY:
Pro Shop Staff assists and registers customers for play and will help with tee times, merchandising, and keeping Pro Shop clean and orderly.
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
• Golf operations experience required
• High School Diploma/GED required
Preferred:
• Previous golf course experience is preferred
• Golf knowledge is not required, but is very important
Skills
Required:
• Good people skills
• Must be able to work flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Above average telephone skills
• Appropriate dress code
Abilities
Required:
• Must be eligible to obtain Non-Gaming License
• Must complete a 90-day probationary period

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately handles players fees and purchases using cash register
• Maintains an accurate bank
• Tournament administration
• Answering phones
• Scheduling tee times
• Ability to answer golf related questions
• Merchandising
• Light cleaning and stocking within Pro Shop
• Other duties as assigned

The team member is regularly required to stand, for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

The team member is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.
Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must handle hazardous materials. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
