Job Summary
Under supervision of the Restaurant Manager, the pool/beach attendant works to prepare the beach and pool areas for service. All areas are kept clean, organized and immaculate. The pool/beach attendant will welcome guests and attend to their every need while assisting them with towels, water, chairs, umbrellas, and amenities. All guests MUST be staying at The Sanctuary if utilizing pool and beach amenities, room key will be checked, or guest name and room numbers will be checked off on the daily room list. Positive guest interaction is essential and one must be knowledgeable of all aspects of the menu and beverage offerings, as well as resort information and activities. Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and in all phases of the operation.
Responsibilities
Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, hours of operations of each outlet. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, 86'd items, liquor brands beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and "dress code" of the restaurant. Must be positive, a team player, and passionate about serving guests. Will be responsible for daily opening side work, assisting with guest needs, assisting with teammates needs, and creating an environment of teamwork and learning to be better.
Education and Experience
Current high school student or High school graduate.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for restaurant clientele. Ability to communicate with proper grammar in English. Ability to provide legible communication. Some experience in similar position dealing with the general public. Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcohol. Must be willing to learn and fast on their feet
Essential Physical Requirements
100% -- Stands during entire shift. 75% -- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently. 90% -- Carries/ pulls/ moves chairs and umbrellas many times per shift over long distances (50-100 feet), often times through sand. 100%-- Constant exposure to sun. 90% -- Verbally communicates with quests and phone.
