## Overview
Providence Country Club, a Mc. Connell Golf property located in Charlotte, NC, is looking for a part-time Line Cook to join our culinary team. You'll be responsible for preparing items needed for your station according to par sheets or guidance from the Sous Chef, and handling all cooking and seasoning from the Sauté Station to ensure everything on the menu and daily specials is cooked to the proper doneness and tastes great. You'll help maintain consistency and order on the cooking line and prepare the products assigned to your station during service.

### What You'll Do
- Prep meats, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients for both regular line service and special functions
- Follow our standard recipes carefully when pre-preparing and cooking all items
- Set up your tools and utensils properly before starting
- Help prepare or assist with employee meals
- Support other kitchen areas as directed by your supervisor
- Operate food preparation equipment following manufacturer guidelines
- Return any unused food to proper storage
- Use safe, sanitary food handling procedures, including personal hygiene
- Keep your station and equipment clean and maintained
- Dispose of trash and food prep waste at the end of your shift
- Return dirty utensils and small wares to the designated areas
- Suggest improvements for the care and upkeep of the sauté area and equipment
- Attend staff meetings and share ideas for improvement
- Take on other tasks assigned by your supervisor
### What We're Looking For
**Education & Experience** – A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least six months of related experience or training.
**Skills & Knowledge** – You have a solid understanding of menu items and can judge taste, doneness, presentation, timing, and product use. You also know how to handle your role in emergency situations.
**Certifications** – A food safety certification is needed.
**Physical Demands** – The role requires standing for long periods, walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching. You'll need to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds and perform continuous repetitive motions. The work environment is hot, humid, and noisy.
### Compensation
Pay ranges from **$18.00 to $21.00 per hour**.
