Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Mechanic will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with the daily upkeep of the facility's equipment. This position has a special emphasis on technology, computerized systems, safety equipment, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment.
Primary Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Repairs all maintenance equipment according to the specifications and highest professional standards particular to each item
Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects
Works with sharpening blades reels and bed-knifes, disassembles motors and performs general overhauling, grinds valves, repairs transmissions, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, high pressured pumps and valves, install breaks, batteries, tires, wiring and glass and welding work
Checks machines on a daily basis to ensure each machine is ready to go the next day
Assists in creating, implementing, and overseeing safety rules for equipment operators and general team members
Implements preventive maintenance programs and care for all equipment and maintain accurate records
Notifies Facility Manager of any equipment misuse
