About the Role
Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all golf outings and events, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for every client and participant. This role serves as the main point of contact for outing organizers, delivering exceptional service the day of the event. In addition, the position supports daily golf operations, including golf shop coverage, outside services oversight, and pace of play management.
Experience Required
• PGA Associate or Class A Professional preferred (or actively pursuing)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with tournament operations and GolfGenius preferred
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Customer-first mindset with attention to detail
Essential Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities – Outings & Events
• Serve as the lead coordinator for all golf outings, tournaments, and special events
• Communicate directly with clients to plan event details, including format, tee times, pairings, scoring, and special requests
• Conduct pre-event planning meetings, create event timelines, and ensure all logistics are clearly organized
• Coordinate with internal departments (food & beverage, maintenance, outside operations) to ensure a smooth execution
• Prepare tournament materials such as cart signs, scorecards, rule sheets, and pairing sheets
• Oversee event setup, registration, and execution on the day of play
• Manage scoring, results, and prize distribution in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure a high level of hospitality and responsiveness to client needs throughout the event
• Follow up with client’s post-event to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
Secondary Responsibilities – Golf Operations
• Assist with the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, sales, and customer service
• Provide professional and friendly service to members and guests at all times
• Support tee sheet management, reservations, and check-in procedures
• Assist with organizing leagues, club events, and instructional programming as needed
• Ensure all areas (bag drop, practice facilities, staging areas) are clean, organized, and operating efficiently
• Act as a liaison between golf operations and outside services to ensure alignment
