Role Description The Golf Professional – Club Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Mobile, AL, responsible for overseeing daily golf operations and club management. This role manages staff scheduling and supervision, ensures outstanding customer service in the golf shop and on the course, and coordinates tee times, tournaments, and league play. The Golf Professional – Club Manager oversees merchandising, point-of-sale processes, and cash handling, while monitoring course conditions in coordination with agronomy and maintenance teams. The role includes developing player development programs, lessons, and clinics, implementing training for front-line staff, and supporting sales and marketing initiatives to grow rounds, memberships, and events. The individual is accountable for maintaining professional standards, reinforcing safety and compliance policies, and contributing to budget management and revenue targets.
Qualifications
Demonstrated supervisory skills and experience managing teams in a golf, recreation, hospitality, or club environment.Background in recreation or golf operations, including organizing events, leagues, and player development programs.Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, ownership, and vendors.Proven customer service skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality guest experiences and resolving issues promptly.Experience in training staff, including onboarding, service standards, and operational procedures.PGA or LPGA membership or apprenticeship, or equivalent professional golf experience, strongly preferred.Knowledge of golf shop operations, point-of-sale systems, merchandising, and basic financial reporting.Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, as required by club operations.Valid driver’s license and ability to meet any local requirements related to club operations and safety.
