Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Water Aerobics Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and effective aquatic fitness classes. This role involves delivering a variety of water-based workouts that cater to different fitness levels, promoting overall health, mobility, and strength through movement in the pool.
Key Responsibilities
Lead group aquatic fitness classes incorporating a variety of formats such as:Water aerobicsAqua HIITResistance-based water trainingMobility and recovery-focused sessionsDesign and modify workouts to accommodate all fitness levels and abilitiesProvide clear instruction on proper form, technique, and safety in an aquatic environmentCreate a positive, motivating, and inclusive class atmosphereMonitor participants during sessions to ensure safety and engagementMaintain cleanliness and organization of pool equipment (weights, noodles, kickboards, etc.)Stay current with trends and best practices in aquatic fitnessQualifications
Certification in Group Fitness, Aquatic Fitness, or related field (e.g., AFAA, ACE, or equivalent)Current CPR/AED and First Aid certificationExperience leading group fitness classes (aquatic experience preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt workouts for diverse populations, including beginners and older adultsPreferred Qualifications
Background in exercise science, kinesiology, or related fieldExperience with multiple aquatic training styles (HIIT, rehab-focused, endurance training)Schedule & Availability
Monday through Friday, starting at 8 am.Additional class times may be added based on member demandPosition Goal
To provide dynamic, results-driven aquatic fitness programming that enhances member experience and supports overall health and wellness through diverse forms of movement in the water.
