About the Role
Job Summary
The Outside Golf Services Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional bag, golf cart, and practice facility services to members and guests. This position ensures golf carts are cleaned, staged, and maintained, assists with the handling and storage of golf bags, maintains the practice range, and delivers a welcoming, service-focused experience while supporting the daily operations of the Golf Department.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide exceptional bag, golf cart, and practice facility services to members and guests with a friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude
Stage golf carts for daily play by transporting carts from the storage area, conducting basic safety inspections, and ensuring carts are clean, fully charged, and properly equipped
Load and unload members' and guests' golf bags onto golf carts and return bags to the appropriate storage locations following play
Retrieve, transport, wash, and replenish range balls throughout the day to maintain a fully stocked practice facility
Operate range equipment, including the tractor and ball picker, to collect golf balls from the practice range safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain all golf carts after each use by removing trash and personal items, collecting reusable supplies, inspecting for damage, washing carts, and returning them to the charging area
Clean members' and guests' golf clubs upon completion of play and maintain the Club's rental clubs and equipment
Report lost and found golf clubs and other items to the Golf Shop in accordance with Club procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bag storage area, golf cart staging area, practice range, and related workspaces
Monitor golf carts and equipment for maintenance needs and report any damage or safety concerns to the Golf Professional staff
Attend departmental meetings and training sessions
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Golf Professional or Golf Management
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Previous customer service, golf operations, hospitality, or outdoor work experience preferred, but not required
Basic knowledge of the game of golf and golf etiquette preferred
Valid Driver’s License

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to create a welcoming experience for members and guests
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Golf Professionals and other Club departments
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail when preparing golf carts, handling members' equipment, and maintaining practice facilities
Ability to safely operate golf carts, range equipment, and other Golf Department machinery
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while delivering exceptional service
Schedule Requirements
While this role offers flexibility, availability on weekends and holidays is expected on a rotating basis to support Club operations
Training
This role includes hands-on shadowing and mentorship with the Outside Services Manager

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
