Banquet & Event Operations Supervisor
Position Summary
The Banquet & Event Operations Supervisor is responsible for the on-site execution of all banquets and events at the club. This role ensures events are carried out exactly as planned by the Event Sales and Catering team, delivering a seamless and high-quality member and guest experience. This position does not handle event sales, planning, or client communication prior to the event.
Key Responsibilities
Event Execution
Execute all banquets and events according to approved Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Oversee room setup, breakdown, and transitions based on event specifications
Ensure proper timing of food service, bar service, and program flow during events
Act as the on-site point person during events to resolve operational issues in real time
Staff & Service Oversight
Direct and supervise banquet and bar service staff during events
Conduct pre-event staff briefings to review service standards, timelines, and expectations
Monitor service quality, professionalism, and adherence to club standards
Coordination
Work closely with Culinary, Bar, and Facilities teams to ensure smooth execution
Communicate any last-minute changes or issues to appropriate departments
Ensure all equipment, linens, and supplies are properly used and returned
Standards & Safety
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in all event spaces
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Uphold the club’s service standards and member expectations at all times
What This Role Does Not Include
Event sales or contracting
Menu planning or pricing
Client planning meetings or pre-event correspondence
Creating timelines or event concepts
Qualifications
Prior experience in banquet or event service, preferably in a country club or hospitality setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple events and remain calm under pressure
A professional demeanor combined with problem-solving abilities to handle guest concerns efficiently
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift and move event equipment up to 50lbs. as needed
Work in fast-paced event environments
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
