About the Role
Executive Chef
Boulder Ridge Country Club – Lake in the Hills, Illinois
Boulder Ridge Country Club is seeking a talented and driven Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations and deliver an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, team leadership, and food quality across the club’s dining outlets and events.
We are looking for a chef who brings creativity, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality, while maintaining high standards of consistency, efficiency, and cost control.
Compensation
• Salary range: $95,000 – $105,000, commensurate with experience
• Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all day-to-day culinary operations, including à la carte dining, banquets, and special events
• Develop seasonal, innovative menus that align with member preferences and club standards
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and execution across all dining outlets
• Recruit, train, and develop kitchen team members; foster a positive and professional kitchen culture
• Manage scheduling, labor costs, and staffing levels to meet business needs
• Oversee food purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Maintain cost controls, including food cost, waste management, and portion consistency
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with club leadership on events, programming, and overall member experience
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or private club environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team
• Experience with menu development, food costing, and kitchen financial management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
