Afterschool Tennis and Golf Coach

TGA Premier Golf & Tennis of West Houston runs a national sports enrichment program that specializes in at-school after school Golf & Tennis enrichment classes for elementary school students. All classes take place on school campuses during the after-school time period, usually starting between 1:00pm-4:00pm, and lasting one hour. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love working with children and have a passion for sports and physical fitness. You must be available in the afternoon at least 3 days per week and have a reliable source of transportation. Experience with children is required, but previous instruction experience is not – we provide extensive curriculum training. A strong passion for the games is what matters most. For Golf Coach/Director roles, golf instruction experience is not required; we provide comprehensive training. For Tennis Coach/Director roles, we are looking for USTA certified instructors or tennis enthusiasts – again, instruction experience is not required, but a love for the game is essential. Our locations span all of West Houston, including West Houston, Katy, Sugarland, Richmond, Missouri City, Cinco Ranch, and the Energy Corridor. Specific schools include Kipling School, St Francis School, The Fay School, and The Village School, with zip codes 77007, 77024, 77077, and 77084. This position is ideal for part-time workers, retirees, college students, stay-at-home moms, teachers, and anyone with a flexible schedule and a passion for working with kids. In addition to coaching, TGA employees may have the opportunity to manage our social media network, teach S.T.E.A.M. concepts, take on admin roles, and work at weekend events, clinics, camps, leagues, and tournaments. Compensation is $35.00 - $70.00 per day, with a schedule of Monday to Friday. The work location is in person. Key attributes we look for: passion for working with children, reliability, passion for sports, willingness to transport equipment to class, willingness to work only 2-3 hours a day, and great communication skills (responding quickly to messages from administrators and communicating class happenings).
