The DuPont Country Club, nestled within the rolling hills of the historic Brandywine Valley, is one of the premier venues to promote leisure activities through championship caliber golf courses, state of the art tennis facilities, pools and an updated fitness center. DuPont Country Club is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Director of Pickleball to lead the continued growth of our pickleball program and join one of the region’s most comprehensive racquets operations.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an active and growing pickleball program while also serving as an integral member of our tennis professional staff. With 18 outdoor tennis courts, 6 permanent indoor tennis courts, 8 dedicated pickleball courts, 4 platform tennis courts, and 3 new padel courts, DCC provides an outstanding environment for a racquets professional looking to build a strong lesson book, develop creative programming, and grow their career year-round.

We’re looking for an accomplished racquets player and instructor who will enjoy connecting with members and is excited about building programs and expanding our great pickleball community.

The OpportunityTake ownership of and help shape the future of the Club’s pickleball programDevelop clinics, organized play, leagues, tournaments, and social events for an active membershipTeach private and group pickleball lessons from beginner through advanced levelsTeach junior and adult tennis lessons, clinics, and programsWork with advanced junior and adult tennis players through instruction and hitting sessionsCreate new programs and events that drive participation and bring members togetherOrganize and assist with member-guests, Club Championships, camps, tournaments, and special eventsBuild strong relationships with members and become a visible presence within the Racquets communityCollaborate with an experienced Racquets Professional Staff across a large, year-round operationWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum 4.5 DUPR pickleball ratingMinimum 5.0 NTRP or 9+ UTR tennis playing levelStrong pickleball and tennis playing and teaching backgroundExperience teaching junior and adult tennisAbility to teach and hit with advanced junior and adult tennis playersPassion for developing pickleball programming and growing participationPickleball programming or leadership experience preferredCollege tennis playing experience strongly preferredPPR, RSPA, PTR, or similar professional certification preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional, energetic, dependable, and team-orientedAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekendsWhy DCC?A true year-round racquets operation.

Six permanent indoor tennis courts and three hard courts covered by a bubble provide consistent teaching opportunities throughout the year, while our extensive outdoor facilities support a busy spring, summer, and fall season.
