The Banquet Captain is the leader of the day of food and beverage banquet and event operations. This position is responsible leading all banquet operations staff during events and to work directly with the Sales Manager and Executive Chef to implement all banquets, weddings, and events. As the Banquet Captain you will be asked to lead the team in executing the room and event site setup, event leadership, and post event take down of all weddings and events. Hours will vary based on event schedule and time of year. There will also be opportunities for additional shifts and income in our daily Food and Beverage operation.
What You Will Do:
Lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events with precision-clean linens, polished silverware, and chip-free china only, please.
Coordinate the flow of service like a pro, ensuring meals are served smoothly and on time.
Guide and motivate the banquet team to deliver top-notch guest experiences, from coffee breaks to full-service dinners.
Handle audio-visual setup and troubleshooting-yes, you'll be part tech support too.
Assist with scheduling, training, and inventory to keep the operation running like clockwork.
What We Are Looking For:
Customer service experience-because happy guests are the heart of hospitality.
At least 6 months of banquet food service experience-we need someone who's seen a plated dinner or two.
Leadership potential or experience-you're not afraid to guide a team and step in where needed.
Food and alcohol certifications (or willingness to complete in 90 days)-because safety is always in style.
Physical stamina-this role includes lifting, bending, walking, and standing during your entire shift.
