Description

Job Summary:

The Landscape Technician, working under the direction of the Landscape Manager, maintains outdoor areas around the golf courses and roadsides by mowing, trimming, planting, watering, spraying herbicides, and general cleanup using various tools and machinery to keep the grounds clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing, requiring physical fitness and basic equipment knowledge.

Duties/Responsibilities:

A high attention to detail and awarenessAbility to frequently bend and liftAbility to work in all kinds of weatherAbility to adequately understand and communicate in EnglishAbility to work weekend mornings (every-other) and holidays (mainly just morning)Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, a manual shift utility vehicle responsiblyAbility to drive golf cart responsiblyRequires visual focus adjustment, depth perception, and clear close and distant visionAbility to use small engine landscaping equipment and hand tools

Education and Experience:

A full year of professional landscaping or groundskeeping experience/herbicidal application

Physical Requirements:

Ability to frequently bend and lift.Ability to work in all kinds of weather.Carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking long distances.Driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
