Position Overview
The Food Runner / Barback is an essential member of the front‐of‐house team, supporting both dining and bar operations to ensure a seamless and elevated experience for members and their guests. This role requires a polished, service‐driven individual who thrives in a refined, fast‐paced environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding club standards while contributing to The Medallion Club experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Dining Room Support (Food Runner)
Deliver food from the kitchen to members and guests with accuracy, proper timing, and adherence to presentation standardsEnsure all dishes meet club quality expectations before leaving the kitchenCommunicate effectively with chefs and service staff regarding modifications, allergies, and timingAssist servers by clearing, resetting, and maintaining clean, organized tablesSupport fine dining service standards, including pacing awareness and member preference recognitionBar Support (Barback)
Maintain full stock of spirits, wine, beer, garnishes, mixers, and glasswareAnticipate bartender needs to ensure efficient, uninterrupted serviceChange kegs, refill ice, polish glassware, and restock inventory throughout serviceMaintain a clean, organized, and polished bar environmentAssist with opening and closing procedures in accordance with club standardsService Standards & Expectations
Provide attentive, discreet, and professional service at all timesMaintain a polished appearance consistent with club grooming standardsDemonstrate urgency while remaining composed and member‐focusedAnticipate member needs and respond proactivelyUphold the club's culture of hospitality, respect, and excellenceQualifications
Strong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to excel in a high‐volume, detail‐oriented settingKnowledge of food, wine, and beverage service is a plusAbility to lift 40–50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periodsPhysical Requirements
