The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry department at Ansley Golf Club. This role ensures that all areas of the club, including the clubhouse, restrooms, locker rooms, dining areas, and other facilities, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and order. The Housekeeping Manager will lead a team of housekeeping and laundry staff, manage inventory and supplies, and work collaboratively with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff. Create staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts. 2. Operational Oversight:
Develop and implement cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and high standards. Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify areas needing attention. Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and used properly. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed. 3. Guest Experience:
Ensure that all areas of the club are clean, presentable, and welcoming for members and guests. Respond promptly and professionally to any guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping. Work closely with other departments to support special events and functions. 4. Health and Safety:
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ensure that all housekeeping staff are trained in safe practices and procedures. Maintain records of safety inspections and incidents. 5. Administrative Duties:
Prepare and manage departmental budgets and expense reports. Maintain accurate records of inventory, staffing, and training. Prepare reports on departmental performance and provide recommendations for improvements. 6. Collaboration:
Coordinate with maintenance staff for any repair or maintenance needs. Collaborate with the Food and Beverage department to manage cleanliness standards in dining areas. Work with event coordinators to ensure cleanliness and setup for special events.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably in a hospitality or club setting. 5+ years in supervisory and/or management experience is a plus. Experience managing in-house operated laundry operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
