Job Title: Golf Course Clubhouse Associate Employer: Delphi Country Club Association Location: 6340 Neylon Drive Southwest Olympia, WA 98512 Supervisor: Clubhouse Manager Employment Status: Seasonal Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Transact sales, interact with the general public and maintain a professional personal appearance while meeting the golfing needs of Delphi Country Club customers. Under the direction of the Assistant Golf Pro, the Clubhouse Sales Associate: • Performs the clerical and sales duties associated with point of sale transactions for the clubhouse. • Open clubhouse: Deactivate the security system; set-up cash register; organize rental equipment displays; unlock doors; prepare putting green and outdoor facilities; and restock merchandise. • Answer customer questions; reserve and manage tee-times; solicit and record customer feedback; encourage the purchase of golf course products; transact and record both cash and credit card sales according to established procedures; closeout the cash register and verify sales and cash balances at the end of each shift. • Transact liquor sales in accordance Delphi Country Club Policy and the laws of Washington State. • Prepare clubhouse for the next business day by cleaning all public areas, kitchen, and restrooms. • Clubhouse Closing: close-out the cash register; complete bank deposit slip and store register cash and deposits in safe; restock supplies and merchandise; secure rental equipment and power carts; assure that all buildings are secured; check security cameras and activate the alarm system before leaving the premises. • Performs basic housekeeping, equipment clean-up, and general maintenance. • Inspect and clean the all areas of the clubhouse, parking lot, and surrounding areas to keep them free of debris and litter. • Inspect, clean, and maintain all rented golf clubs and bags, pull carts, and electric golf carts immediately upon return. Remove defective items from service and report problems to Supervisor. • Regularly inspect, clean, and restock restrooms, maintain kitchen area, and keep beverage coolers clean and well organized. • Wash and clean windows, outdoor tables, and seating areas as needed. • Water, weed, and generally maintain decorative plantings in and around the clubhouse. • Inspect and clean outdoor grill after each use. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements • Completion of Washington State Liquor Control Board Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST). • Copy of Valid Class 12 or 13 Permit to sell alcohol in Washington State for our files. • Retail sales work experience and a basic knowledge and understanding of golf course protocol. • Analytical and problem solving-skills as applicable to customer service and sales. • This position requires completion of a Washington State Patrol Criminal History (Background Check).
