Job purpose
The Clubhouse Manager reports directly to the General Manager. The Clubhouse Manager will help direct and administer all aspects of the operation as well as coordinate and administer the propertys policies and procedures as defined by Hampton Golf.
Duties and responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of the club in the absence of the general manager.
• Oversee the club's daily operations, ensuring all amenities and services run smoothly.
• Demonstrates commitment to elevating and activating our club membership experience, with emphasis on dining programming, quality, and service.
• Maintain a strong and visible presence with members and team, ensuring proactive engagement.
• Address member inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Work closely with managers across departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Assist in hiring, developing, and supervising all key supervisory Team Members of the property.
• Conduct, assist, or supervise administration Team Members with admin services (i.e., member payments, accounts, handles member disputes, reservations).
• Oversee the care and maintenance of the property's physical assets and facilities to include Clubhouse and Dining, Aquatics and Racquet Sports.
• Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
• Maintain positive and productive relationships between active members, guests, Team Members, community, government, and industry.
• Assist with sourcing, hiring, developing, training, and motivating a Team of service-oriented professionals.
• Assist in the development of the annual operating and capital budget.
• Complete Board and/or Hampton Golf reports (i.e., weekly, month end).
• Ensures and initiates programs to provide members with a variety of innovative functions, programs, and events to drive revenue.
• Attends and participates in weekly department, other Team Member meetings.
• Ensure standards by implementing Club & Hampton Golf policies and procedures.
• Administers personnel and general policies and ensures proper hiring, training, supervising, development, and corrective action in accordance with fair labor standards, safety, and established policies as defined in the Hampton Golf operating manuals.
• Ensures and oversees the development of operating procedures, shift checklists, and trainings per Club and Hampton Golf.
• Assists with the performance of all daily operations, functions, and services. Ensures high standards and total Members & guests satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with the emergency, safety and workers' compensation procedures per Hampton Golf guidelines.
• Maintains active memberships in appropriate professional organizations.
• Meets, greets, and welcomes members, prospective members, and guests.
• Ensures the highest standards for golf services and programs, golf course and practice area, food and beverage, tennis, swimming, recreation, entertainment, and other club services are exercised.
• Creates the formulation of the annual and seasonal marketing and promotional plans.
• Diplomatically enforces all rules and regulations of Hampton Golf and the Club.
• Participates in outside functions and activities as deemed appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5-7 years of leadership experience in a private club, hotel or hospitality setting, preferred
Four-year college degree, preferred
2-4 years experience as assistant general manager preferred
PGA/LPGA preferred
Working conditions
Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements
Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 20 lbs. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping.
Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golfs Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
