About the Role
Greenskeeper
Full and part time Greenskeepers/Landscapers are needed ASAP for the private River Course and Cassique Golf Courses on Kiawah Island. Greenskeepers are responsible for maintaining the grass, turf, grounds, and plants, at the courses using standard manual and power lawn care equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to: mowing and weeding grass, laying sod, planting grass and other types of plants, and fertilizing. Some experience using lawnmowers, leaf blowers, edgers, and trimmers is preferred, but not required. The schedule for this position is 6-7 days per week as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm (occasionally until 5pm)
Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 am to 10:00 amQualifications
The ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs, and to sit, stand, kneel and walk for long periods, is requiredQualified applicants will be comfortable working outdoors for long periods in varied weather conditionsApplicants must be comfortable with the regular use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axesSome previous experience as a landscaper or horticulturalist is strongly preferred, but not requiredExperience operating powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, leaf blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws is preferredKiawah Island Club Offers
